The Future [Aug. 30, 2008]

The Future

“I’ll be out back, having an orgy, if you need anything.”  Famous last words.  My father was a driven man, he made his money often and thoroughly through ventriloquist sex ventures sponsored solely by the “Gay and Lesbian Avenue” street clubs.  A strange man for strange times.  A shifting spoon ladled pizza into my parfait of choice:  crackers.  “How bout another jolly?” asked my spiffster.  “No thanks,” I courteously replied, “I’ve been on the dolly for upwards of twelve gawks now.”  It was a hard life, traveling with the touring sex rodeo.  But one had to make a living somehow.  Nightly news, daily dribble—it’s all the same nowadays.  The only real entertainment left is in the whirling woozle circuses.
