Academic Frustrations
I don’t like the way these introductory 101 courses simply throw a bunch of terms at you and expect you to know them on a basic level and refuse to go deeper. That really upsets me, because I like to read very slowly and think about tons of different ways that a term could affect my life and the lives of others. It’s really frustrating whizzing through information and over-simplifying so that everyone can understand. It applies to all aspects of academia, from Spanish to Political Science to Philosophy.

hi. um, i was really overwhellmed by your posts. i read the frist three or so (everything from the first one to the one i'm commenting on). i thought what you wrote was interesting, but i had difficulty when trying to read the next couple. i'm not sure what the 'purpose' of your blog is. like, what you're trying to say overall. or maybe you're just saying what comes to mind, which is fine, i just...don't know. anyway, just wanted to let you know i'd read it and was interested. (by the way, i found you from the comments on a post on 'pictures on the page')~
Hey, thanks a lot for reading! You're right, it doesn't really have a purpose, it's really just an outlet for anything I choose to be thinking about on that particular day. I'm checking out your blog right now as well.
